7 wins
2 losses
1 tie - before shootout.
.500 - the same number of wins as losses.
Who knows.

Another ?- how are they playing so far this season and do they have a chance to outshine the pens? Win the Stanley cup?
7 wins
2 losses
1 overtime win (Goal scored in OT or shootout win)

The Pens are certainly beatable but not likely by the Flyers . If Flyers make the playoffs I can't see them going more than 1 round. In fact, it is likely ALL Metropolitan Division teams that make the playoffs will be eliminated in the first series they play against non division opponents. As to who wins the Cup, the Olympics, injuries, and the new playoff format are "X" factors that make any predictions virtually impossible. The Black Hawks are the team to beat and San Jose and St. Louis, wile playing well, have a history of playoff choking to overcome.

Ugh. What an ugly loss last night. I'll keep watching but I have NO expectations of this team. I just hope they don't embarrass themselves again tonight.

They don't appear to be better than a .500 team.

I think you are on the mark about the .500 team but the entire division save for the Penguins at the top and the Islanders at the bottom are in the same boat. It was nice to see them rub Mr. Universe's nose in it last night in Edmonton too:

Tough loss against the Isles today;blew a 2 goal lead in the third to end up tied at the end of regulation and OT only to lose in the dreaded shootout.

4 losses in a row. Glad I didn't watch today's debacle.

Looking forward to Olympic hockey! I need a break from the Flyers.

Agreed! It's fun to watch a streaky team only when they're on a winning streak.
