We are buying a house in Henderson next spring and should all settled in by the time the new team takes the ice. I'm hoping tickets are at least somewhat affordable although I believe they will be expensive on the secondary market. With only 1500 tickets available to the public for each game those will be tough to get, especially for the more popular teams.
I am also wondering how they will handle broadcasting the games. I believe that Las Vegas is (now) considered to be part of the LA, Anaheim, and possibly San Jose markets and the games are blacked-out in Vegas. Now that Vegas has a team, those games should be available on the Center Ice or NHL Gameday packages. I'm a long-time Blackhawks fan and will be disappointed if I get a a package like Gameday and so many games are blacked-out.
Either Desert Knights or Sliver Knights would be okay names. Not my favorites, but naming a team and getting the trademark rights and domain name rights is difficult these days. Just about all the good names have been taken and they almost had to pick something that was two words. But in any case, Vegas will have a team and I think they'll do fine.
