Even though it was at least 6 years ago, I saw him on TV at a Dallas Stars game.
What is bogus about his stupid comment, is, his wife is Swedish and he knocked down a game in a city which was a team where the top players are mostly Swedes. Go figure.
no...he's just smart...it has nothing to do with being less of a man. i guarantee you he makes tons more money than those hockey players and doesn't put his body through near as much as them.
Hockey players cant help the fact they theyre not paid much (unless youre talking Ovechkin, etc). Theyre probably the most fit and conditioned athletes in the world, their bodies taking incredible amounts of abuse. So youre basically saying that Tiger gets paid more to do less, while driving around on a golf cart wearing namby-pamby prep clothes, smacking a little white ball around with the crowd in absolute silence (dont wanna interrupt the immense concentration ), driving/promoting Buick, etc? How does that make him "smart" again?
Ill say it again: Tiger is 1/2 the man a NHL hockey player is. Heck, he doesnt even deserve the name "Tiger". That name should belong to a hockey player or a UFC fighter or a boxer, not a 110 lb golfer. I therefore shall call him Fluffy Woods.

Watching golf is about as interesting and exciting as watching paint dry. Sounds like "Tigger" is getting too big and rich for those namby pamby pants of his.
Quick test on Tiger's manhood: hit a little white ball around a manicured lawn, or stay in bed with his hotty wife. A real man would rather putter around with the babe.
Something golf will never hold over hockey. The beauty of the sport. Flaws and all. And PASSION. The art of skating. Puck control and movement. How often do you see a golfer 'lay it all out there'. There is no passion. There is no emotion except when they pump their arm a few times when making a whole in one or getting maybe a birdie.
To be able to sacrifice your body, mind and soul for a sport. To leave it all there. To play with everything you have. That says something. It says something about dedication, passion, teamwork and a sense of emotion with the sport they play.
it is impossible to compare the two sports in that way. golf is a totally different game than hockey obviously.
