Yup, I just logged onto Hockeybuzz and saw that. Grrrrrr.

Okay well now the rumor mill is still grinding away about the Isles' supposed interest in Markov, Tanabe and Berard. Patrick Marleau being tossed into the mix as well, but I thought we were looking for another D-man, not a center. Then again with Peca probably headed to Toronto, who knows?

Let's see, training camp starts Sept 14th, so I predict a sudden Snow flurry of activity to start in about 2 weeks if not before....

Default Latest Isles rumor....

For anyone who hasn't seen Eklund's latest update (about 3 pm Eastern time):

"Many of my sources are telling me that Danny Markov could very well be an Islander in the next few days...

I am also hearing The Pens have interest in Bryan Berard. That is if the Isles don't grab him first. The Isles will be adding two players."

Markov AND Berard without having to give anyone up in trade? I like it!

I just jumped ahead here on this thread, but are there any Toronto Maple Leaf fans here? I love this team and have watched them since I was 6 years old. They've missed the playoffs the last two years (UUUHHHGGGH!!!) but it looks like they've made some moves in the off season to make a good run for the post season this year. If I could afford it I would sign up for one of those NHL TV packages where you can watch hundreds of games throughout the year. I am fortunate to live in an area of the U.S. where were close enough to the Canadian border so the Hockey Night in Canada program feed comes here so I can watch my Leafs. I can't wait for the season to start. One more reason why fall is my favorite season. GO LEAFS GO!!!!

A runaway boy was being interviewed by Child Services.

"Would you like to live with your Dad?", the social worker asked.

"Nope," replied the boy. "My Dad beats me."

"Oh, you better go live with your Mom then", the social worker opined.

"No way," the kid said." My Mom beats me too."

"Well who would you like to live with then?", asked the social worker.

"The Toronto Maple Leafs," the very wise boy said. "They don't beat anyone."

I admit I thought that was funny...and I'm a dye in the wool Maple Leafs fan. I have a feeling they'll be beating some teams this year and march into the playoffs, but then again I've been disappointed before. Cheers my friend to the greatest game known to man!!!

NHL Center Ice on Direct TV is not that expensive. I think we pay an additional $39.95 for 3 months to get all the games.
