They are sticking with VERSUS for 3 more years. And if that wasnt bad enough, I've heard rumuors that VERSUS may cover all Playoff games next season, again just rumours, but dont be shocked if it happens.
I know VERSUS is doing NHL fans a "favor" more or less by, at least showing interest in the sport and not leaving it in total darkness, but it's time to upgrade the TV deal.
Well I for one am glad we aren't going back with ESPN. They screwed the NHL over (though a good deal of the blame I'm sure rests with Bettman) and I'll be very happy to see espn die a sad and horrible death. I agree the NHL does need a better deal but let's stay off of the poker channel.

Good point. If the NHL were to go back to ESPN, they would have to move to ABC as well, and the NBA and college ball are covered by these two channels. I'd love to see it on TBS or USA however.
I don't have much of a problem with Vs. tbh.....Don't most people watch most of their games on the local FSN channel anyways?
Most of the Hurricanes road games, and a few home games are shown on FSN South throughout NC and SC. I also sometimes get Atlanta Thrashers games on SportsSouth which is the Atlanta-equilvant FSN, that spreads throughout the southeast.
I cant stand watching playoff hockey on such a fuzzy screen. My TV isnt high-def and the screen is fuzzy mostly when Im watching VERSUS.
It's like what, $36/month for 4 months right? That's like only 10 trips to Starbucks! I don't know...I can find something to cut out for hockey!
