Cam Ward stopped all 36 saves for his 10th career shut-out as Carolina breaks the 2-game skid beating Buffalo 3-0. Also Washington helps us out tonight beating Florida 4-2.

Next up is Boston at home, it will be Glen Wesley night at the RBC Center. Wesley, who played for the Bruins in the late 80's and early 90's will have his #2 Jersey retired, becoming the 2nd Hurricane player behind Ron Francis to have such an honor.

Maybe you shouldn't have posted this. The streak ended the same day you posted.

BORE!!!

you have to start somewhere... If you want to get technical, there should be no original 2 or original 4, it should be just 1 team. the creator and ruler of the NHL, by your standards...

the NHL has 6 original teams that started the SAME league that it is in now. not a mix between minors/majors like it was back in the teen years...

get the facts and quit trying to push the fact that you can wiki crap instead of ignoring the post and going on your merry way...

ok I'll settle this. Why? U ask? Because i just got done reading a book about the history of the NHL. I forgot what book it is but when i'll take it out from the library again and tell you the title. NHL started out with 6 original teams. Those teams are the Rangers, Blackhawks, Red Wings, Maple Leafs, Bruins, and Canadiens. There were many other leagues throughout Canada and the United States, but these 6 teams were grouped together by 2 or 3 leagues and formed the NHL. The NHL then became soo popular more teams were formed and the league became the largest hockey league in North America.

Glen Wesley night @ the RBC Center as #2 is retired. And the outcome is not good for the Canes as Boston clean-sweeps us for the first time in franchise history. Worse news, Justin Williams is still out, and Joni Pitaken is now injured (injury bug just loves us sadly). Well what can I say, we have to beat the Islanders thursday night in order to keep pace with Buffalo and Florida.
