Any thoughts out there on what people think will happen with Lundqvist?

I can't see a scenario where he doesn't sign with the team. The only way I see him leaving is if he truly believes his best chances of winning at least one cup are elsewhere or if Sather low balls him in a big way.

Sather has made some rather awful signings during his tenure here with the Rangers, but if he lets Lundqvist walk this would easily be the biggest free agent blunder in NY Rangers history.

That just can't happen. If it does, I agree. Biggest blunder ever.

Just imagine if a team like Pittsburgh had Lundqvist... they probably would have won the last 5 Stanley Cups... lol.

However we can always play the what if game but I always wondered what would happen even if the Rangers had an average to slightly good offense..... they'd be Contenders every year.

If Henrik stays he'll go down as the greatest Rangers goaltender of all-time no question... but it would be a real shame if he never hoisted a cup.

I disagree. If Lundqvist wants to handicap the Rangers witha max deal than bye-bye. Sather will trade him before he walks away.
