Sewickley, PA's most beloved Hall of Famer, Mario Lemieux, is being knighted today. Discuss.

Guess nobody wanted to discuss.

I'll take a shot. Lemieux was an incredible hockey player in his heyday. Simply dominant in his prime. His best season, he had 85 goals and 199 points in 76 games! He averaged nearly 2 points per game for his career!

If Quebec wants to knight him for the achievement, that is terrific!

Another memory of mine is the 92-93 season. That year, Lemieux won the Hart trophy by scoring 69 goals and 91 assists (160 pts) in just 60 games played. Alex Mogilny and Teemu Selanne tied for the goal scoring title that year with 76 each, playing 77 and 84 games respectively. Lemieux would have blown both away had he played 77-84 games...

My take on Sir Buries It is that he would have been the greatest of all time if it weren't for all of his health problems. Or, he was the greatest, but would have had the stats to prove it.
