One more win from striking Gold. Did the Fins forget they had a game today?

I knew the U.S. would win, but man it got ugly with 6 goals in the first 13 minutes. I was yawning the last 5 minutes of the first, watched half of the second then went out with my daughter as I knew the win was in the bag.

I just don't know if the Can-Slo game will be any better

I'll go out on a limb and predict Slovakia wins in a shootout. Nah, scratch that I think Canada wins!

Agreed - good grief, let the girls celebrate. They won a tough battle, they are young, let 'em have fun and enjoy... playing, winning, life. Too much PC BS. I admire and am happy for them. Would have rather the USA girls won, but am still proud of these girls winning, and honestly, it just so durn cool that they celebrated like that

As to the mens game: GO USA!!!

Not set in stone yet is the final. Slovakia scores 2 to make it close with 3 minutes left.

Default How did Slovakia not score in the last .20

Several open nets and they just flat out miss.

Canada is not going to be happy with this win tonight nearly blowing this game. They outplayed Slovakia the entire game until the last 10 minutes and then were just gassed.

Who here bets American broadcaster NBC will be gay and put the hockey match on cable?

For once, I think NBC actually puts an Olympic hockey game on (gasp) NBC, mainly because the men's gold medal game will be the only event (or one of only two Olympic events) taking place in its time slot. Actually, the men's gold medal game is the last competitive event of the entire Olympics.

(As a side note, I really didn't understand NBC's decision to not put the men's U.S./Canada pool play hockey game on over-the-air TV; that's one of the rare U.S. non-medal hockey games that would generate huge interest in most of the U.S.)

Is there a Web site that shows how many minutes each player is on the ice for each game?
