A day late in the recap:

Nice win by the Flyers after the Bruins tied it up with 30 seconds left.

Kind of surprised by the Canucks losing their cool and both home games. Blackhawks in prime position to get to the conference finals.

Pens hold on for a 2-1 win tonight despite no goals from Crosby or Malkin.

Sharks just scored on PP to tie Wings 1-1 early 2nd period.

Hand shake time in SJ - nice to see patty marleau pick up 2 GWG this series (tying him for 3rd amongst active players in post season GWG)

thornton played an all around great game - probably the best I've seen him in the playoffs off the puck

the grind guys did their jobs very well

and nabby came through on my feeling that he would have a great game (although howard stood in there save for save)

this team is starting to play good hockey and is showing a toughness this year .... detroit is a very skilled, very experienced, very good hockey team that was playing well down the stretch ..... the sharks have now won 7 of their last 8 games

hope they can keep it going for another month or so

go sharks!

If the hawks close it off tomorrow I'll be really looking forward to the Western conference finals. Can't wait.

I don't think you can go wrong with any of the remaining possibilities .... chicago/sj seems like it would be a pretty open, fast skating affair with a ton of scoring chances

and sj/vancouver seem to have some really natural bad blood for a couple of teams that haven't met in a playoff series ..... they get chippy in low meaning games, I can't imagine how intense it would get over a 7 game series

The big 3 for Sharks are back. Thornton, Heatley and Marleau.

Sharks dominated the Wings in this series and now officially own the Wings in the playoff history.

Actually, the Flyers have ralleyed pretty much in every game to come back and tie.....our biggest problem in this series is Boucher not making the BIG save when needed either in overtime or late in the third period.

They didn't dominate in any of the 5 games. Instead they played well enough to win. Congrats to the Sharks.

Now that my team is gone, I'll support the Hawks, despite having Hossa on their team.

Yup as a Bruin fan I'm seeing 2 very even teams, and really the decider so far has been the goaltending

Default The craziness continues

So last night the Hawks have a chance to close out Canucks, instead they left the offense back in Vancouver and the Canucks win easily 4-1 making the series 3-2.

Now onto tonight's games:

The heart attack Habs do it again beating the Pens 4-3 and thereby force a game 7 back in Pittsburgh on Wednesday night. Camalleri with 2 goals and another great goaltending night for Halak.

The Bruins after going up 3-0 against the beat up Flyers have all of a sudden looked beat up after being shutout 4-0 tonight at the Garden. That series now is 3-2 heading back to Philly.

Sharks looking like they will be well rested come the West Finals.

They'll be either well-rested, or completely thrown off their game.
