This was the first Hawks loss in 8 games. And that's something that has worried me coming into this series. They've been on such a huge roll that there was no way this was going to be a gimme series -- you can only sustain that kind of momentum for so long. I'm kind of surprised they didn't drop one at the UC. They've been a considerably better road team than home team through the playoffs.

They defintetly played good on the road tonight. I knew the Flyers would win once the game went into OT. That's not the type of Game the blackhawks were going to win in Philly with the Flyers down 2-0 in the series. They needed a big lead

Nobody's disputing that. You just have to accept the fact that Philadelphia ain't dead despite all your bias against them.

I'll remind you that both of Chicago's wins so far came by a goal apiece. Do you think they care that they didn't dominate? A win is a win.

Detroit had a 2-0 series lead in the Stanley Cup Finals last year and still lost. This series ain't over until somebody wins a fourth game.

Good game, didnt like result. But I didn't expect the Flyers to roll over.

BTW I loved the video of Kate Smith singing, but I thought the other girl wrecked it. I hope people pelted her with rocks and garbage. I HATE when someone does their 'interpretive' verion of the Anthem or God Bless America.

What a game. What a bunch of drama queens those Flyers are ...

Agreed. Kate Smith's voice sends shivers up my spine; that other woman's made me want to run for a soundproof room.

I like Lauren Hart's voice and she's a fan favorite here so I doubt anyone will throw anything at her.

That said, I thought the Flyers defense played great, especially Carle. Pronger's slapshots stayed along the ice and that gave his teammates opportunities for tip ins, and the Carcillo experiment should end now.

The "other" girl was Lauren Hart.....the daughter of legendary Flyer announcer Gene Hart......apparently shes considered a singer/entertainer in some circles.....so shes considered part of the intertwined extended "Flyer Family" and used on special occasions. As far as Kate Smith goes you should have seen/heard that live back when it started in the early 70s when the Flyers played Boston for the Cup.....there was a rumor that Kate was going to be there but no one knew for sure till she walked out !!!

Default Briere 2nd in Playoff Scoring

A short time ago some hockey fans posted their uninformed opnions of doubt when I said the Flyers knew they were getting a playoff performer when they signed Briere. It would seem that now that Briere is the 2nd leading scorer in the playoffs with 24 points, just 3 behind Toews, is proving exactly what I said to be true. 24 points.....11 goals, 13 assists, 4 power play goals amd 4 game winning goals....not too shabby for a free agent pickup !!!

Who would you play instead ? JVR just didn't seem to have the experience and physical ability to compete in the playoffs at this level yet.....video replay shows the penalty Carcillo took shouldn't have even been a penalty ? I'd rather have a scorer in there if someone was available to play with Richards, Carter or Gagne but who do we have available that won't won't "hurt" the team ? We're already double shifting Lieno ?
