ok, so this is a very small powder room tucked under the stairs in the foyer. Floor is a very dark charcoal grey (almost black) large ceramic tile. Sink is a 22"w rectangular stainless steel trough with an ultra cool faucet (Brizo Loki). Vanity will be a wall mount rectangle. Toilet is white. Will be hanging all my architectural artwork and displaying miniatures of great buildings. Need suggestions for wall color and for vanity & countertop. Want an edgy, very contemporary vibe. Thanks!

Pics possibly? And what's the color scheme of the rest of the house?

I love it when people go really dramatic with tiny spaces.

I'd stick with white for the sink/vanity and then play with color on the walls.

Fuschia. Navy. Silver.

Have fun!

Charcoal on the floor, white sanitary wares, i'll pick a salmon shade vanity/counter top. Pick one main wall with a cool painting technique maybe a subtle graining effect with predominant silver grey a bit of pastel salmon and white mix. The remaining walls can be a white, so your pictures stand out clearly.
Enjoy.

Could you do all the walls with tiny glass tiles? I love that look. I would do the silvery (with some mirror looking) or even light icey blue colors. That would look so cool.

The thing I love about powder rooms is you can run wild with them, as the door is always closed...they can be a little fantasy!
Would love to see pix before I offer any ideas......

I'll put up some pix when the frame-in is a little further along. It's a new build, and right now things are rather skeletal. I like the idea of an unusual paint finish; less difficult to change than the glass tiles, although that could be awesome. Not too worried about hitting in with the color scheme of the rest of the house... I want to play in this little room! Keep the ideas coming, and I'll put up some pix as soon as you can really get an idea of the space. Tx to all

I vote for a concrete countertop and a metallic paint finish on the walls. Maybe troweled-on paint? Modern Masters has some awesome stuff and its sold at a lot of Sherwin Williams. There is also this stuff called Lusterstone you can buy online. It's like a faux-venetian plaster and it comes in awesome colors.
