If he doesn't care for a hunter green, or a bright Crayola type green, he might like an olive. Sounds like you're looking for a muted color.

I was hoping we'd get away from dark green but it seems he still likes dark, but just wants a different dark green than what he has now.

In the daylight today, he's liking Behr Moss Landing. (below)

But I like Happy Camper better out of the tones he's attracted to. (below)

What I really love is Oregano Spice but he won't have anything to do with it because he says it doesnt' look like a real green.

I agree with you - Happy Camper is nice. It always looks a bit darker when you get it on the wall anyway. I bet he would like it.

You're right. I could pretend Happy Camper is Moss Landing. He wouldnt' know the difference. Moss Landing looks a little pukey to me.

What do you think of Oregano Spice? He had agreed that it looks best with the curtains, but I'm wondering if it will feel depressing.

I like the Happy Camper. Don't like the Oregano Spice at all!

It's got a brownish undertone, bet it's made with "C", the yellow oxide color. Happy Camper seems decent.

Some of the brownish or bluish greens in the olive, sage, or kaki tones may work well.

I like Happy Camper and the Moss colored one. Hard choice. I am painting my son's room green also and it's called Softened Green by Sherwin Williams. It's the color he picked out.
