Hi, I have a large entry foyer. Its 13x13 and I don't know how to decorate it. As you walk in the house, directly across from the front door is the staircase to upstairs. To the right of the staircase on one wall is a double closet that houses my washer/dryer. Next to that is a little hall that leads to the basement. On the other wall is the door to the garage, and on the wall next to that is a closet. Next to the wall where the entry door is there's a window.
I put a decorative rug in there and curtains, but it looks so cold and uninviting. I can't put a table in the center of the foyer because the horses I live with would just knock it over. Any ideas for making it more inviting? I was thinking maybe adding built in bookshelves?
eta.. the horses that I mention are not the 4 legged kind but are klutzy husband and kids.

you need to send pics. I recommend a round table with a bouquet of tall flowers
