OMG, I though I was old when I was going to suggest that also, but it works......I believe I even bouth something like that only with a handle on it, so many years ago....but now I have wood floors so dont need it. But yes, venetian blind works.

If you have carpeting, still use the plastic. Paint has a way of transporting itself no matter how careful you are.
