So my husband and I purchased a home with a finished basement. The basement has a bedroom that leads out to the backyard. We want to use this as a workout room and was toying with putting Berber carpet, however as (bad) luck would have it we got slammed with rain this week and that room flooded. We've had to rip out the carpet. Now that the floor is exposed we are thinking of just using concrete acid stain to stain the concrete and then seal it. Has anyone done this in their home? Or does anyone have an interior room of concrete flooring?

We have used concrete stain & its a really nice finish. Only concern I have it that you want to use the room as a workout area. Were you going to put down rubberized matting too?
Concrete can be stained and polished. It should not be slippery if the proper finish sealer is used -- most have specific instructions to result in a floor that has the right amount of grip.
Workout room will need mats / rubber tiles and concrete is much better base for this can carpet. If you want to have an area rug that is a way to "warm up" part of the space -- much easier to deal with if there is need to clean after sweaty work out or seepage.
Get lots of quotes and make sure all the details are spelled out. Some concrete floor specialists work mostly commercial and expect to just use a garden hose to wash away etching solution. That could damage furnace or other items stored in a residential basement.

^^^ what he said. No we didn't do it ourselves. From what I researched, the prep and the finish can be a bit trickey and expensive to fix if its done incorrectly. We had ours done professionally.

You may need to seal it with Dry-Lok first- basements with flood and dampness issues need this to prevent seepage- it works perfectly...
Now I am thinking of doing a tile with a stone look.... I just don't know!
