Hi forum! I am planning out and shopping for my fall decor already. I can't wait to switch things out. The problem is that it's 95 degrees out right now and not feeling very fall-ish. Usually I don't feel like it's fall till November but I don't want to wait that long. Anyway, I was wondering when other South Floridians start changing things up. Thanks!

I though the whole point of living in S Fl was to NOT be bound by such absurd customs.

Funny! I live in a four season region and I NEVER switch my decor for the seasons. And we have real seasons here!

The only way I know it's coming into fall is the "GREAT MIGRATION SOUTH, of the ubiquitous "SNOWBIRD". "

What do you mean by switching things out? Like what? Halloween?
Thanksgiving? Columbus Day? LOL!
Fall decor-what's that?

I don't know what you mean by "up" either.

The only time I switch things is maybe in January to put a quilt on the bed for maybe 7-10 days. And bring the orchids, cactus & succulents in during that same time so they don't "chill" off.

Hello B4U,

What I mean is changing the decor in your house, like throw pillows, area rugs, etc. I now have a yellow, gray and white color pallete in my living area. So I'm changing to a warmer palette of reds and purples...I look forward to this because since we're in constant, unchanging heat, it's fun to vary things inside the home and make things feel a little different...Thanks for your nice reply.

LOL! I think in order to have fall decor, you need to have fall!
But, if you feel like changing the color scheme in your house, have at it. After all, it is YOUR house - you can do what you want when you want.

Decorating for the fall holidays is a totally different thing...

Never. Wear sandals even when it's "cold".

I lived in South FL for 6 years. There was no need to change things up because it never felt like fall or winter.

Or spring for that matter.

Fall decor?

Is that the molding pumpkin that you find on your porch when you take down the Christmas decorations?
