As the title says my kitchen faucet sprayer is a part of the faucet and pulls out on a hose. The problem is when you push the top chrome hat of the sprayer water leaks down the handle and down the hose and ultimately under the sink.
We are the second owners of the house and don't know the model kitchen faucet it is to see if the sprayer can be replaced or repaired. It looks like the 75 series Moen models but the sprayer fits inside the faucet and is not just resting on the edge like most. I tried CLR but it still leaks. I don't want to replace the entire unit because I know my wife will want a new ss sink too.
If someone can point me in the right direction I would appreciate it. I did google a lot before I wrote.

Brand should make no difference for that sprayer as it will be a universal aftermarket add on. You can buy the sprayer plus the hose alone and it will fit to any brand of faucet. It can be replaced with nothing more then a 9/16" wrench. It can be bought at any home improvement store. They cost about $12.
Ahh, that is the rub. The sprayer fits in a socket in the main Faucet, I will check but I will be surprised that an aftermarket sprayer will suffice. I hope I am wrong.
Most hoses screw to the head unit. As time and use go by the connection can become loose. Check that the connection is tight- if it appears tight, yet still leaking it's probably the o-ring. The other type of connection is a push&lock- and it relies on an o-ring to seal also.
Sounds like some of you don't understand the OP's faucet--the sprayer is integral to the faucet, not a separate unit like traditional faucets. So it's not as simple as replacing with a new sprayer.
OP, can you clarify exactly where the leak is? You said it leaks "down the handle", so I assume that means it's not leaking at the base where the hose attaches to the handle, correct? If the leak is coming from that point, then it probably needs a new o-ring as k'ledgebldr suggests. But if it's leaking farther up the handle as you say, then it's likely the outlet holes and/or aerator are clogged, forcing water to leak through the on/off switch. The solution is disassembly and a thorough cleaning--unscrew the aerator and remove the outlet cover, soak all parts in vinegar or CLR (including the aerator), and use a toothbrush, toothpick, or whatever else you need to be sure all outlet holes are clear. You may need to replace the aerator's rubber washer as well.
Good luck!
