I like dark blue, and it seems to coordinate well with the walnut. However, I can't get curtains in the same fabric as the selected comforter.

There are many color options for fabric for the headboard, or it could be leather. What are your ideas?
Single male. I suggest a Salt and Pepper scheme.......LOL

Masculine but not hard and boring like a lot of rooms can be that people consider "masculine".
I always have ideas; just the way I think. I decided on the color palette, the drapes, bed-cover, rug, and I'm close to committing on the bed. I am not trying to make a masculine statement, I don't need to; I have nothing to prove. I also don't care if any knows I'm single. My intent is to design a bedroom that is comfortable, peaceful and inviting; a room that reflects my tastes and interests.

I tend to want to have too many interesting objects as you can tell by my posts; this is not a lack of decision, but the result of varied interests.

I wasn't trying to insinuate you had anything to prove by using the word masculine. Having a masculine feel is not the same as making a masculine statement. Most items people bring into their house will lean masculine or feminine and overall rooms tend to be the same as well (even balanced rooms tend to have a small lean). Nothing wrong with it, I was just using a term. I meant more that clean lines and the blues and browns like you have been showing are definitely considered to lean "masculine" in the interior design world.

I'm a guy too and I'm passionate about interior design. I definitely wasn't trying to say you were indecisive, rather I completely understand the situation of having lots of ideas run through your head. I just provided that site since sometimes having extra visuals helps you finally say "that's it!" as far as a feel or style you are going for.

I got the impression you had a lot of ideas but were having trouble pulling them together (which is why you posted here) so I was just trying to help.

Look what I found for curtains; yeah, I know, I bought some today, but these are better. However, they are only in the 84 lenght.

Being minimalist is great however, your photos scream "do not sleep on me this is a sterile room". There is no warmth, no welcoming, nothing that appears it is a relaxing area. Everything is too cold and stark, no passion, no feeling, just nothing. I myself could never sleep in a room so uninviting but if it is what you are comfortable in I do wish you many hours of enjoyment in your room.

I am not an expert at decorating, I have no experience in this area. I know nothing about fabrics, color, or anything else.

I came here for advice and suggestions. If you have some suggestions, I am ready to listen. I don't want to make a mistake. So, instead making harsh comments, please, offer some suggestions. If I need to start over, I will. I thought I was going in the right direction.

I haven't read al the previous posts but I will contribute 2 things:
well, maybe 3- I'd eliminate the headboard and get a big picture to hang over the bed. (That's what I did.)

forget the masculine/feminine thing. Everyone has both aspects to their personalities. So should every room. Think yin yang.
I too would focus on the furniture 1st. You can get new curtains, quilt, area rug, etc. Getting new furniture is not as easy nor as cheap.

and, throwing in a 4th (some people don't know when to quit) don't be afraid of making mistakes. You're not trying for the cover of some decorating magazine, you're going for something you can live with and feel comfortable with. If you like it, it's not a mistake.

I already said people have both aspects. I don't think that's a reason to ignore it. I like being cognizant of both because mixing both is what makes a room feel finished to me.
