Our HOA clubhouse is up for a long overdue update. Would like a lodge, family gathering room feel but don't know how to achieve it.

We have This End Up furniture that we plan to keep (sturdy) it but replace the cushions.
This End Up: Home
Replacement cushions & covers; This End Up,Pine Factory & Cargo

Other than that we're open to ideas.

What type of lodge? Mountain lodge? Ski lodge? Lake lodge? Fishing lodge? Hunting lodge? Seaside?

I guess you mean today's lodge look, not necessarily like the Great Lodges of the Gilded Age?

I was asked to look into this myself recently. More because the building lends itself to the lodge look.

Here are a few ideas: Contemporary Lodge Design Ideas, Pictures, Remodel, and Decor

Your furniture link looks like you're going for a Mission / Craftsman style.

Yes the furniture does look like Mission/Craftsman. The link ^ biscuitmom supplied above will really help. Note the warm colors, golds and oranges, greens.

The replacement cushions would look nice in Sunburst, Chamois, but I would have to see them in scale to know for sure. Just stay away from the tweeds like Dijon and Brass, they don't work at all with this theme.

They're keeping the furniture because its sturdy!! Not because of what it looks like.

Comprehending the written word is a wonderful thing.

I'm asking the same question as Hopes- what kind of "lodge"? Answer that question and the rest is easy!

Thanks a million for all the suggestions. Perusing the links now.

Craftsman, mountain lodge look is what we are going for. Upscale, comfortable, welcoming. A design that will stand up to a lot of use and stand the test of time as it might be a decade or two before the HOA rustles up the money and energy to do it again.

Stone fireplace --have to reface the red brick. Or perhaps Craftsman tile reface.

The Sunburst, Chamois pattern for the cushions would set the feel of the room. Sunburst looks a bit more rustic. Chamois a touch more sophisticated. I'll order samples.

Keeping This End Up furniture not only because it is sturdy (lots of children's birthday parties) and has aged well (any other furniture would have looked shabby after all this use), but also because it fits with a Craftsman lodge look.

Other suggestions, recommendations, questions?

Sunburst looks too southwest for a mission style mountain lodge in North Carolina.

Chamois might work but it might look too old fashioned.

I think you should stay away from a pattern on the cushion upholstery.

Do a rich tweed, like Cocoa and Brass, instead. Those are upscale rustic, comfortable and welcoming.

If you look at all of the Houzz pictures cully linked, the patterns are for the area rugs. The furniture is a solid color.

This way you can easily update the look of the room with wall color and area rugs in the future.

The cushions on the site above are patterned on the couches, solid on the single chair.

Is that Cognac leather? If so, that's perfect.

It would be the most durable and long lasting.

Leather is very "mission mountain lodge" too.
