Thank you! It looks very dark in the model... maybe I should reconsider... Then again, it is textured, I have lots of light because the door is glass and aluminium (aluminium colour too like the windows) and the aluminium fridge may break it up a bit too.
I think there is a safety issue with putting the oven so close to the door opening, and moving plumbing close to existing plumbing minimizes potential plumbing problems.
There is already plumbing where the sink is in the picture... the other positibility was putting it on the island and I still haven't ruled out putting a small sink on the island... not sure. As for the oven, I don't know if its OK to put it there.. If you put it where the fridge is there is the same risk I think, I will have to ask about regulations.

What about this - which is similar to your first drawing, except that the door swing is going in the opposite direction.
