As dark as the porch appears with the black screening, I'd want to stay light on the gables. However, I might do the gables in a rich cream color or a pale celery green and paint the wood trim on/around the gables in the same gray as the steps to tie everything in

Go to the various paint manufacturers and look at their Historic Paint Collections and Combinations. They have some very good suggestions. Here's Sherwin Williams for an example.

Whatever color you decide on, it'll look good from my house!
Just DO NOT PAINT THE BRICK (as suggested in a previous post)!!! You will regret ever considering it if you did.

Agreed!!

I like the color that it is now.

One other idea would be a light gray to complement the grey trim around the stairs etc. Then you could paint those pots black to match the screen door.

The "old" Westend Park. I didn't realize the name had been "changed".

I knew there were a lot of bungalows, I would never have known that there were some in that good of shape. Maybe you could do a little sleuthing; scratch through the paint and see if there are any other colors under the yellow.

At the time those bungalows were built the stucco gables were usually left their natural color- a very light tan/yellow, like sand.

Is the interior oak trim still stained?

Paint it a nice cheerful yellow. Leave the trim white or re-paint the white again to give it a nice and new clean look. Then your red brick stands out. Really nice looking front. For the pots, you can always give them a pop of color of your choosing. You can always repaint them if they do not come out the way you wanted. Paint one first and then live with it for a week and see if you like it.

I thought moss green, or sage green initially but now I'm thinking a putty color might be nice - I would NOT paint it bright.

Many paint stores offer an interior designer consultation for $50 and then when you buy your paint you get $50 credit, for something like the exterior of a home I think it's well worth it!
