Go as close with the tile as possible-
"Cover" the gap with shoe mold. Using grout or caulk will just be an ongoing repair/fix. The shoe mold will give a nice finished look without any additional work/worries.
I would probably dispose of the base tile-
It doesn't go well with today's tiles, and having a COHESIVE look (all wall base the same material/look) would be more appealing.
Thanks, everyone, I will try to remove the black adhesive.
Another two questions (attached photo):
1) After removing black adhesive, should I place PORCELAIN TILE as close to the wall (wood strip), or should I leave a space as that between tiles?
2) Should I use caulk for the space between PORCELAIN TILE and wood, or should I just use grout?
Thanks.
How can I take out the white board? I want to replace it with 3" wall tile.
Pry bar does not work, any better tool?
Another question (attached photo): Do I need caulk to seal it?
Thank you very much!
