What a great resource! I also noted that a few show unpainted block work used both as skirting and at the front porch.

And look at the Dover model.

This is the first time that I realized the middle porch pillars may not have originally had posts going up to the roof. Interesting.

Too late . It worked when I checked it-- then it was gone. Sorry.

If you go to the gutenberg.org link, choose the HTML version. Then scroll down to the Dover model. The houses are alphabetical.

I agree, do something with the inner columns.


I think painting the stone the light beige color would just be a different version of what you have now. Should be painted the color of the house imo.


Also, think the front door would look better painted. Maybe a dark green if the roof color is green....not sure.


Also, a more substantial light fixture, like black wrought iron on a chain and some house numbers.


I agree an evergreen shrub on each side for year round interest and annuals in the summer. Also, hanging baskets of ferns or window boxes, on the front of the porch....maybe both.
