It depends what style you have going throughout your place. For more contemporary look you can use blinds which come in many colors. Especially if privacy is an issue. If you live on a busy street, etc. The honeycomb shades look great too. Many colors are available so you are not too limited on your color scheme. Curtains are good if you choose the right color and fabric. Again, depends on what style you have in your home. DO NOT USE VERTICAL blinds! The are just plain ugly. I won't even justify it.

Yes, Im a sheers type of gal too, or country-style gingham ruffle curtains for the kitchen or bath. Seems like a lot of people are turning to blinds though, these days.

I love curtains. I used to like blinds many years ago, but have come to realize that it's soooooooo much easier to maintain curtains. Just toss in the wash, dry and hang back up. Blinds always collect dust and I think I've wasted a good bit of life trying to clean them- no matter how rarely I may have done so.

Give me curtains any day!
