We will be picking out our new homes elevation tomorrow.
This has me thinking of the popularity of different stone on homes. What is seen as dated? What is the most current?

I think it depends on the area.

But I like the look of flat, stacked stone on the exterior, and round stones on a fireplace.

I prefer the flat stacked stone. I'd drive around the neighborhood you are moving to and look at the existing homes. What you see on paper can look vastly different in person.
