Hello, I am moving next month into a recently purchased townhome. I want to replace the carpet with wood laminate, does anyone have some recommendations for a good flooring company. Should I buy the product first and then have it installed. Don,t know what to do ! Help !

It would help if you told us where you live, no point in recommending someone from Glen Cove if you live in Massapequa.

Find a well recommended local floor company that employs its own installers, and talk to them. Listen to their advice. It would be a good thing to get at least two, preferably three quotes. When you talk to the company, ask a lot of questions, and ask the same questions to all three companies. After you do that, you will have the info you need to make a decision about who to choose.

Don't make the decision on price alone.

People often do not like the work done by installers contracted by the big box stores. They would not be my first choice.

We always use Home Depot for mid-level flooring
Laminate would fall in that category
The price is always the lowest and we've been happy with the subcontractors
