We have a bay in our dining area. One side of the bay is a door with a window, and the other two sides are large panes of glass. We put matching blinds up in the large window and a similar window in the room adjacent. We like that look. in the side that is not the door, we hung an old stained glass window.
I did not want to fuss with drapes in those spaces. And I thought that getting rods to fit an angle that was not a right angle, would be pricey. So, we went with the shades for the large window of the bay, in the dining area, and the window in the adjacent living area.

I think I'm going to do shades as well, perhaps with a valance. It's a deep bay window with a bench you could sit on. I'm leaving the curtains for just the bedrooms.
