Sunroom. It's huge (over 40 feet long - grrr) and pretty much a waste of space for us. Right now, I have my daughter's extra paintings in there, dog crates, and cat boxes. The reason it's useless is the large number of French doors off it. Believe original plan meant for this to be a screened porch when looking at blueprints left behind by previous owner but they switched it to a sunroom at time of construction. Even as a porch, it would have seen marginal usage given the doors issue.
Hmmm. l live in a small apartment, but I guess I'd pick my kitchen just because it doesn't have enough smart storage. Why is it that whoever designs the cabinets for kitchens in small apartments, obviously doesn't cook or have any understanding of the sizes of cupboards needed to hold normal kitchen items? And they have these unusable corner cupboards where you can't use the space?
Don't any of them ever have the need to put a wine bottle into a cupboard? They put non-adjustable shelves into a cupboard so that nothing normal fits on either level. And forget about a cupboard where you need to access spice jars, etc. And there just aren't enough cabinets to hold both your food items, baking and spice items - and - your dishes, glasses and pots and pans. They could at least be better thought out, so a normal person would be able to easily grab what they need to just prepare a meal.
And, of course, the fridge also doesn't usually have much freezer space to speak of.
So, just functionality-wise, my kitchen is frustrating. But, things could be worse, for sure.
Small flat so Id say the kitchen is my least favourite as its where gets most messy each day and needs most attention.... My living room and garden are my favourites..
The hall bathroom. Two adult males share that one and I refuse to set foot inside of it. I steer any guests I have to the one in my master bedroom.
I'm also not a huge fan of my living room even though I spend most of my time in it. It looks and functions fine but I don't like the way it's situated because it's dark, hard to sit where you can look out a window, and anyone walking up to the door can look right in if they are tall enough to peek through the door windows. And I can't do without those because the room would be even darker.
Maybe the office because it's boring. It has good bones and a nice bay window, but we haven't really done anything to it except move furniture in. And the furniture that's in there is a hodgepodge.
