I am a hater of the current 'grey tones' with cheap, white cabinets and white subway tile trend. In looking for a future retirement house, I'm specifically looking for something that's largely 'untouched', but in decent shape and not a 'to-the-studs' gut. I'm not going to pay for some flipper's poorly done-on-the-cheap rehab just to have to rip it out and do it over. Anyone else shopping for an old house knows that's a big ask!
