I did some research on line and many of the sites including Levolors say to vacuum with a brush attachment or use a feather duster. It also states to clean with water use a lukewarm sponge and lightly dab.
FYI, If you are looking to do something very soon regarding the shades, HD has Levolor brand on sale (15% off) till the 28th of this month and full house installation for only $89 till 6/4. Normally they charge $95 for three windows and then additional money per window after that.
Thank you. Out of reps for now, but I'll make it up to ya.
Yeah, that deal sounds good. I gotta get going one of these days...
No problem at all. I believe Lowes is offering something pretty similar so check it out too. See which is the better deal and go for it. I know its a big investment but these two offers will help and I'm sure you'll feel a lot better looking at those instead of paper
we have had cellular shades(from kirsch) in our home for 19 years. they still look great. they are the light beige color. just vacuum. when we bought ours, they didn't have the light blocking ones like they do now. in the bedrooms, we just have some valances over the top. we have really been happy with them all these years!
we have them as well - blackouts in all bedrooms and light blocking in dining room - fliltering in the baths and kitchen love em! we have cordless in the kids rooms and top down bottom up in our room, kitchen, and dining room! very easy to clean and they look great!

Yeah, the cordless part is really attractive to me. Otherwise I'd prefer the regular-look blinds as I like to have them semi-open, but the cords get tangled up so much...
We have light colored "black out" cellular shades (double honeycone)in our bedroom..they are Bali's & still look new (5 years old). I got them from JC Penney's during one of there 50% off sales. All I do is vacuum them as needed...I love them..They look neat & accent my window treatments nicely.
Question for anyone owning these upscale shades:
Could you tell me please if they help reduce solar heat gain in the summertime, or does it just refract light in an aesthetic way?
Wondering because there is another option- built in shades within a window- reported to manage solar gain comprehensively. Of course those claims are from marketing departments, and the technology hasn't had as much trial from consumers yet.
