I am building a new house. I got cream tile 18in's and silver little squares that go between ever other tile I got it at expo center. I got linen grout but now I think it might be to light. How does silver sound Or does anyone have another idea.I got maple cabinets with glass and staggered ss app tks in advance
If you use a grout that is darker than your tile, you will create a whole lot of pattern - a grid pattern that will dominate your space - keep your group the same color as the tile....I'm not even sure about the silver inserts...I'd keep the floor completely neutral.

Agreed. Not only does too much pattern make a space look smaller, but it can make for a tougher resale down the road.
I would use grout that is a close match to the larger tiles. Mix a small amount of the grout power up, let it dry on a scrap piece and see how well it matches. If it doesn't match, exchange it for a different color.
