I am thinking the actual mechanism inside the headrail is designed specifically for either a tilt wand system, or the tilt cords, but just wondering if anyone has successfully converted their tilt wand system to a tilt cords system. Twisting 20 blinds everyday gets old. A single smooth pull of a string would be much easier.

And see, I'd much rather have the wand than the cords. I think it's easier to adjust the opening with a wand. With the cords it seems to quickly switch from opened to closed with very little tug on the cords. Could be that my window is only 36" high. I wish the Levelor blinds I bought came with a wand. I could see that opening and closing 20 blinds a day with cords would be easier for you. I only open one with a wand. The others are vertical and they typically stay closed all day to block out the sun while I'm at work.

Well, wife is more concerned with the privacy than I am. We do back to other homes, but they are a good distance away and we also have some trees as a buffer. I can understand closing the bedroom ones, obviously...but the rest just gets annoying.

Thanks, I see the different mechanisms. Looks like too much trouble to convert from one to the other. Hindsight!!
