oH, I love the rich color. I think it looks warm and in viting. I have read that blue is a good color for bathrooms because it is invokes peace and tranquil feelings.. but I think the burgundy is nice as well. I am saving your pics to give me ideas on my own color scheme.
What color are the walls? I think the darker color would be a good contrast.
Here we go texas I use all nuetral colors throughout it gives me more of a relaxing feeling when I'm at home. Friends say when they come over they hate to leave as if they are at piece in my home. It has a cozy homy feeling. Living, Dining and Family rm.
Also I had the floor installers to apply the 4'' boards and bullnose trim on the angle stairs and landing. I wanted a custom look without paying the custom price.

Wowsa, boo. Great rooms! You've proven that neutral doesnt have to be boring. I understand why your friends dont want to leave...what a sense of calm and relaxation your living room and bedroom evoke.
The furniture pieces are awesome. If you're not a home decorator by trade, you're missing your calling. And is that you in the bedroom photo? HunkaHunka (she said in a motherly tone of voice)....
Mr Whips-I love the tile work in the tub! And I absolutely love your choice of hardware you chose. The new and upcoming thing is the "furniture" type vanities. Great choice. I also LOVE tray ceilings and I like how you painted every other one...it really draws the eye up and you can see the architecture alot better. Great JOB!!!
Boo-I would finish it out in tile not wood trim. I think wood trim is sooooo outdated looking and it doesn't hold up very well. I think the tile will make it have alot more of a "finished and updated" look!
