I am a complete sheet snob and I can say that without a doubt, Costco's Kirkland 500 & 600 thread count sheets are DIVINE. They feel wonderful, wash well, and fit my 17" thick mattress with no problems.

I have not had great luck with the sheets I've purchased from TJ Maxx, Marshalls, Linnens & Things, etc.

I tried overstock but wasn't impressed with the color/pattern options - I bought almost all my sheets from smartbargains and haven't been disappointed. I have a really fat mattress so I get the deep pocket sheets and haven't had any problems - the key is to make sure that the fitted sheet fits under the mattress - if it's most of the way down or less it will come off the second you laydown. I checked the smartbargains site and it looks like there having a 15% off sale on bedding right now.

I would try QVC online. We used to have a cal king and that was one of the few places I could find size. They have some good quality sheets and they aren't that expensive.

I love, love, love my new Cindy Crawford sheets from JCPenney. They were $60 for a 400-thread count (feels like higher, they're super soft) set (flat, fitted, 2 pillow cases).

I've had them for a few months and they are my favorite sheet since the old Charisma sheets (from before Charisma went bankrupt and got sold to another company- Fieldcrest, maybe?)
