I love the glasses the Barefoot Contessa, Ina Garten, uses...La Rochere's Amitie (or Amite) but can not afford these. Can you suggest something that looks similar for less? It's French, hefty but not too chunky and has a bell shaped top and a ball at the stem.
Sorry, I don't know how to post a picture here but here's a link to a website that shows the style. Collection Amitie Handblown Glass)

I bumped into your email looking for the same thing. I found the same exact as the Rochere amite pattern at William Sonoma. They cost $58.00 which are pricey but when I went to the William Sonoma Home Store I found them on sale for $8 !!!! The only problem they only had four. I guess they put kitchen sale items at the home store. What is incredible is that they had them on both store with different prices. They are much more alike than the ones form Crat and Barrel (Marcel) because they are more tulip shape and a little heavier in the stem.
Re: Barefoot Contessa Amitie glasses.... Found VERY similar glasses at Horchow - pattern is called PROVENCE. They are not French glass. They are made in China.
