We are moving into a 3 year old home that has whitish walls in *every* room, so we are hiring a paint crew to paint all of the rooms before we move in. Upon entering the front door, the dining room is to the left and living room is to the right. The entire house has white trim, and the dining room has wainscoting...we are planning to paint this room a deep red (RL's Maleya Red). I'm struggling with what color to use for the living room....we will be using it as an open "office" area with a tailored computer desk and dark green/olive couch. I'm considering RL's Soho or even a bit darker shade such as RL's Neutral Brown. Should I stay away from something as dark as Neutral Brown? I will most likely be using Modern Studio for the foyer and hallways.

Many thanks!

Red goes well with yellow & gold. I always think like this when putting colors together..if I had a red skirt on what color shirt would go well with it? Applies to walls to LOL

We just finished painting our dining room a color that may go with the red in your home. It's Benjamin Moore Barley Harvest. You can kinda see it off to the side in this photo. This is the third color we have used on that color strip (the other two being Blond Wood and Squire Hill Buff) and really like all of them.
