Nice-looking kitchen. Let me make sure I was clear. When I said not to "do this", I meant not to buy the battery operated ones. Not the ones desertsun was talking about.

Desertsun, you called the ones you were talking about puck lights also, though. How is the light spread on those? I hope better than the little pieces of trash I bought (battery op).

Also, there are many different recommendations on how to space them. Listen to desertsun, he knows what he's talking about. I'm sure he has some advice on that front.

I did get 2 kinds of battery ones but they went right back to the store. They were more like spot lights.

When I install hockey puck lights I put one under each box. Same goes if the box is 36" wide or 12" wide, just one light. If the box was 48" wide I would ask the customer how they felt about it but might go 2 on that wide cabinet box. I normally center the light from side to side but pull it foward just a bit towards me. Maybe 4" from the face frame but centered side to side.

These lights are halogen which will be a bright clear light beam which puts a direct light on to the countertop. I use these same hockey puck lights inside a bookshelf or an open cabinet as well as for undercounter lighting.

This light kit comes with a heat sensitive on/off which you just touch with your fingertip. It will be 3 light settings. I used to mount them inside an upper cabinet box where you would have to open the door to get to it. These days more and more people have me mount them underneith near an outside corner where they can put their fingers under the cab without even looking to touch it.

And thanks for the compliment!!!!!
