sheets
This sounds crazy, but I am not familiar with buying sheets as far as how many threads and where to buy them. Can someone recommend a good place to shop? I am looking for nice sheets (not satin) that do not wrinkle and have good quality. Thank you. Blue

I buy all my sheets off Overstock. You can't beat the price.
I too do not like satin sheets... I'll have to look up previous orders to see what i order, thread count-wise... but i do think they are the Egyptian Cotton. higher the count the better, in most cases.
**edited to add
looks like most of my purchases were ... Sateen 400 tc sheet sets. I get most of my comforters, mattress pads, bedspreads, etc all from OverStock.
I bought some German Flannel sheets a few yrs ago... best sheets ever.
Hope this helps.

I love the Pinzon bamboo sheets from Amazon, especially for the winter. They are so soft and warm and comforting. The higher the count the more luxurious.

I find high end sheets for a great price at Marshalls.
Bamboo is extremely soft but very casual so I only buy it for the children's rooms.
For my bed, I prefer 100% Egyptian cotton in the highest thread count I can find.

Thread count isn't everything. Go to a place like Bed Bath and Beyond, where they have sample fabrics out for you to feel. You will see that one 400-tc sheet is not the same as the next. You can have 1000-tc sheets but if the threads themselves are coarse.

This is so true
It is not simply tc but the ply of the thread, the type of thread and how the threads are treated.
What is Thread Count?
Who ever thought that buying sheets could get so technical

I agree about thread counts. I bought some 1,500-tc Egyptian cotton sheets that feel coarse. I also bought some 400-tc bamboo sheets. Omygosh...bamboo is so soft. I love it!!
