Kind of a greyish blue maybe (or a bluish grey)? It would make the cabinets stand out, but not too much. If that makes any sense.

I have this violent aversion to the smell of cooking eggs, so restaurants that largely serve breakfast are a little icky to me.

a yellow color or even go with a light red, but it depends how much wall space you have for the red, I love the yellow family right now

soft yellow with barn, gingham, apple, or country red for pisazze as accents with pure white looks fresh and county, or for french country, a blue (which almost looks like a periwinkle) with pure white.
