We have a very flowery stained glass hexagonal window in one of our boys' rooms. Assuming that at this point we don't want to have it replaced with a non flowery hexagonal window...does anyone have any ideas for a way to keep the sunshine but hide the flowers? I saw a design show once where they used a shower curtain but I'm not sure I want to go quite in that direction. Any ideas?
Accommodate specially shaped windows with customized shades that fit perfectly. Shapes include full circle (stationary), octagon (stationary), hexagon (stationary) and trapezoid (most are operable).
I'm with the above poster who asked if the boys were bothered by the flowers. Gosh, the most well-known landscape designers and landscapers are guys. It's awful to think that there are still folks out there (not insinuating anything, because I did see where color seems to be an issue), who think that flowers are for girls. Those same folks might think that painting a boys room neon orange may be a bit odd. LOL I do love the examples above that another poster submitted. I, too, had no idea they made hexagonal blinds and special window treatments for them as well. How cool is that!

Yaya... we know, maybe even they know that flowers in a boys room is not a tragedy - but tell that their friends! You know... all the teasing and such. When they grow up a bit, they all will be OK with that.
They want neon orange walls? And the window has blue and pink flowers? Throw some tie-die curtains up, light some incense, put on some Grateful Dead music and tell 'em they're going retro to the '60's.
If you are wrinkling up your nose as you read this, I'd go with the blinds. I wouldn't take the window out. You might want a different use for that room later on and be sorry it's gone.
