CX-9 is in a different class. The CX-5 is a competitor to the CRV.

Yah, I was throwing it out there since presumably, he had already looked into the CX-5.

Yep. The XC60 is mostly saved by its more aggressive looking front end and better style lines. The rear is tragic, but at least the XC60 can hide behind its performance and appointments.

Aesthetics is merely a matter of opinion. Functionality is another matter.

Default Hearse like Car

Hey, take a look at the Lincoln MKT and I'm sure we can both agree that it is the most hearse like car roaming the streets of the planet. The Odyssey I take it you were commenting about is far better designed than other vans other there... the dodge caravan is and Chrysler's town and country are butt ugly. The rear ends are so low, and it is the boxiest, most beetle shaped van.

Heres the Lincoln MKT.

Dodge Caravan 2014

Chrysler Town and Country 2015

Honda Odyssey 2015

Take your pick.

Mazda by far has the ugly styling. often the front doesn't match the rest of the car besides being poor quality.

The newest Hondas look better than two years ago when this thread was started and previously active.

As one who owned 3 Accords, I, too, agree that Honda has lost its way. I really feel that that the Accord got to be too big and bloated and the tail lights were a patchwork of chrome and red reflectors. I got a Lexus to replace the '03 Accord V6 that have the transmission problems. I was really disappointed in that '03. Not as good as the other two Accords we had.

Remember the Pontiac Aztek? How it was considered so hideous when it came out? Why do so many new cars now look just about like it? It was a "crossover" before "crossovers" were cool...and has many of the same styling cues.
