Who needs a rear camera on such a small car. Are they to lazy to turn their head around. And if they can't because of medical reasons they should not be driving. Cameras should be on larger SUVs like the full size yukon, or expedition. Anything smaller is just laziness in my book.
Although I am not a fan of backup cameras in most cars, why are you guys chastising the OP for wanting to buy one?
It is a gift for a person the OP deems would benefit from one. I think the best advice so far is to use a Honda accessory known to work with it it if available. I have done a fair amount of car audio work but have not installed a camera. So I don't know what would work well with the Accord.
Maybe check with Crutchfield (online) - which has great "what works with my car" information.
Teach them how to drive instead of supplying them with another dummy device.
Yeah! And you know those silly washing machines kids are buying these days? Learn to use a damn wash board! And those damn blasted sinks everyone is raving about? Get your lazy self down to a river! Don't even get me started on color televisions and antenna phones!
I didn't think I'd need a rearview camera until I bought a car where it was standard equipment and I find it very helpful. It takes the guesswork out of parking.

Yep, its a convenience feature. Very useful for parallel parking
How is having additional visibility a bad habit? Some of you people just argue for the sake of arguing I think.
Its not additional visibility, per se. Its a fish-eye view of the world for people too lazy to turn around and look with their two own eyes. They rely on markers and an auditorial beep rather than actually learning how to drive their car properly. Plus, the peripheral vision on those back up cameras leaves much to be desired. One too many times Ive had to wait for idiots backing out of their parking spots, staring like zombies into their dash, watching the world through their little camera, while we stand there and wait for them to complete their manouever. They have no clue we're even standing there. That crap pisses me off big time!
Learn your vehicles, people! Theres absolutely no reason to use a camera unless youre backing into a garage and want to use the distance meter.

Couldn't disagree more. Any idiot can tell from using a backup cam that it sole purpose is to see behind you and you need to look to the sides as well. Maybe you haven't figured that part out yet. It's not the cameras fault that people can't drive.
They are an immense help in the dark. My parking lot at work isn't lit, in my mirrors I see zilch, The backup cam gives me the ability to at least see behind me.
