When the car is warm and I turn the wheel slightly to the left, it would start to make high pitched whining noise. The higher the RPM, the higher the noise. This can only be heard loudly at low speed like parking even with all the windows closed but obviously at high speed, the other noises would just drown it.
Any ideas? Could this be the power steering?

Probably just some air in the power steering pump oil from cavitation. Usually fresh hydraulic fluid gets rid of this. Had the same thing on a Pilot, Honda Service told me to replace the pump for $600 plus. All I did was change part of the oil - noise went away and I have ran for 2 years with no recurrence.
It COULD be a problem with the pump or a slow leak from the o-ring the other person mentioned, but I would try the oil change first.
