I am planning to buy Honda Pilot 2018 - LX in Dallas/Irving. If you have bought a new Honda Pilot recently, can you please let me know the out the door price you paid. How much were you able to negotiate with the dealer ?

Check Truecar and you'll be able to get this kind of localized information.

I just tried Truecar in looking for a Pilot after already getting a quote from a dealer. I think it is useless quite frankly. All tendered offers were between 2>3.2K higher than quote in hand, and two local dealers that had inventory of what I wanted were not included. So if I were to have made a decision based on truecar alone I would have gotten friar tucked.

Just sayin'

Dave

Honda dealers are notoriously stingy when it comes to negotiating. That’s because they are selling in-demand vehicles. I once spent an hour haggling with the dealer over $100.00. I kid you not, $100.00.
When I asked the guy if he was going to let me walk over a measly $100 bucks he said “yes I am”.
So I walked.

I would have told you to walk as well. His time is worth more than that.

It would be different if you already had a business relationship established with that particular individual. Then you could have reasonably expected him to comp you the C note.

Why are so many people still haggling in person for their cars? You can do it all online.
