Hi guys,
I have a 93 accord wagon...none of my 5 doors are locking w/ the electronic switch on the drivers door. I've bought a used lock/actuator assembly and the problem persists. To me then the actuator isn't problem...is there a master control box for the door locks? where is it? obviously, it could be a wiring issue, a short or a fried wire from being opened or closed for 25 yrs.

Are there any other possibilities?

much thanx,

much thanx,
How about a fuse? Check your fuse box.

Wiring could also be an issue. I remember the central locks not operating on my 2000 Maxima several years ago (when it was pretty new) and the dealer fixed it, it was pretty simple, something like a simple relay or something.

We've checked all those things you've mentioned and the lock works in both directions (lock and unlock) when it is disconnected from the control box....I have another "used control box" on order..but we can't find the box that is mounted in the car....please help...also I have an electrical engineer ready to re-solder the original...but we can't find the original in the car...is it under the dash? it's not in the front doors

much thanx

Here’s a short video that might be helpful in locating the master control and.... resetting it.

Thanx, my mechanic swears he checked in the driver's door and didn't find it. I guess I'll have to the shop and be there when he opens it. The 2 videos I found on youtube show it in the door. He's seen the same videos and can't explain why it isn't in the door.

Oh well,
