Maybe if Honda hadn't made the exterior of the the 08 Accord sedan so ugly, they wouldn't have dropped. Plus, the Malibu is an extremely well-made car and I love it's looks.
It does look eons better than the previous Malibu versions, but IMO its still built rather bad. The interior plastics are rough and have a strange sheen to them, the doors shut with a questionable sound, and the overall fit and finish isnt the greatest. Trust me though, its a HUGE step in the right direction, but still not up to Accord/Camry levels of quality.
I dont have any stats but I have been in the car business for 7 years, and I work for a Subaru/Toyota/Chevy dealership. All of the big 3 get a lot of their "sales" from rental agencies.
No doubt of that. But you implied that few of their sales were direct to private customers, not the same thing.
Oh, well thats not what I meant. I was just saying that the Impala might have outsold the Accord, but throw out the rental ones and its Accord by a landslide.

I couldn't agree more. The new Accord is simply an appliance to get you from point A to point B, it's certainly nothing to look at. The new Malibu is one of the best looking lower priced sedans I have seen in a while, especially the LTZ.
