Many of the homeowners flooded in Timberline and Wupatki Trails had insurance, but it was for fire or other damage, and not for flooding.

Five Flagstaff insurers said their standard home policies would not cover flooding resulting from a wildfire, and some said that to make an exception would be unprecedented.
