Yeah, sorry I meant to say the corrosion and sediment in the pipe would cause a drop in flow not pressure.

If you do re-plumb the house at least PEX is available now, which should save you quite a bit of money vs copper. Let alone the fact that PEX pipe is cheaper than copper pipe they shouldn't need to tear your walls up as much in order to pull it through the house. Since it would be a whole new install it would be worthwhile to install a dist. manifold while they're at it. Would have liked to have had that done with my house as a change order but the builder's quote would have been way out of line so I said forget it.

OK so i still don't have a good comparison plumber for an estimate in Essex County NJ. I got one from McCormick plumbing. he seems great.

Called Russo and they want to charge $25, which they'll put towards the work, to come evaluate. Anyone know some decent plumbers in NJ?
