We are temp staying at my MIL while our home is being built. She has ss appliances. I can't seem to get the water stains or drips off of the fridge. I used some SS wipe she has but it isn't taking those marks off. Any ideas? I HATE SS. It's so hard to keep clean with little hands getting their own drinks and such. That's why I am putting BLACK in my own home, lol! But I really want to keep her things nice...HELP!

I always use window cleaner (Cinch) with a clean paper towel. No streaks! And god bless you living with MIL

My DD got black apppliances, that's what I'll get next. Mine are the basic white that came with the new house 5 years ago. She got the same formica countertops I have (butterum granite) and her appliances look so nice with them.
Sorry, I'm no help with the SS issue.

I have done some clean up on SS with baking soda and steel wool, works on extreme stains. Only scrub in the same direction as existing.
Stainless cleaner is good for minor clean up.

Our fridge doesn't have a removable drip tray, which will be mandatory in future fridges. That said, I love SS but don't have kids. Besides the SS cleaner that we use, I soak a paper towel in white vinegar and let it sit in the reservoir tray (also works on the pump-type faucet we have in our half bath). It might just work on any long-term water stains you might have on your stainless and it's non-toxic.

I used vegetable oil on the stainless steel fridge I used to have. You wipe with the grain. Works like a charm.
